Dear Martial Arts Applicants,

We are very excited to be celebrating the 41st annual Powell Street Festival on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6, 2017!

If you are interested in participating in the 2017 festival, please fill out the following form and return it to us by Friday, March 10, 2017. If you submitted an application last year, please log in to your account and your content will appear in each field. However, it is important that you review and update each answer because the questions may have changed.

Please note: time-slots for the martial arts groups will be limited. As with previous years, we will likely have only six time-slots for martial arts groups in the park. If we receive more than six applications, we will continue our rotating policy, which means the groups that do not get slots this year will have priority next year, and some of you may have to take a year off. Those of you who took a year off in 2016 will have priority this year. As always, preference is given to groups who have contributed to the Festival in the past. We hope you understand our attempt to be as representative of as many different types of performance as possible. All applicants will be notified in May.

Please note that we are no longer accepting faxed or mailed applications.

To help with the costs of presenting the Demo Area, organizations can sell lottery tickets (which also raises 20% commission for your organization).

We also encourage you to join our volunteer set-up crew on Friday, August 4, 2017. Your strength and agility as a martial arts practitioner would be a great asset to us tent and stage set up. Lunch is included. Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you in July.
